Quarterback Whisperer: How to Build an Elite NFL Quarterback
What is an elite NFL QB and what separates that player
from the others? One answer is the coach they share. In the recent history of
the biggest game on earth, one man is the common thread that connects several
of the very best in the sport: Peyton Manning; Ben Roethlisberger; Andrew Luck;
and the resurgent Carson Palmer. That coach is Bruce Arians. A larger than life
visionary who trained under the tutelage of Bear Bryant, Arians has had a major
impact on the development and success of each of these players.

Loudmouth - Memoirs by Craig Carton
In 1991, fresh from college, Craig Carton drove a
crappy 1980 Buick to Buffalo, New York, to interview for a job at WGR radio. The
station manager who hired him was the first to recognize his considerable on-air
talent, and helped start what has become a legendary radio career. Often compared
to Howard Stern, Carton has hosted a series of highly rated shows, and in 2007
he joined WFAN, where he and Boomer Esiason host an eponymous show every morning
for four hours out of a studio in New York City. Team

& Tumble: A gritty behind-the-scenes look at life in the NFL
Mark Bavaro, a former New York Giant tight end himself,
has written a fascinating rookie novel. He absolutely gets the football right,
but more surprisingly, he has created a thoughtful, credible narrator and an intriguing
mix of full-bodied secondary characters who exist in the shadows of professional
sports. Team Giants

The GM: The Inside Story of a Dream
Job and the Nightmares that Go with It Ernie
Accorsi, invited Tom Callahan "inside" the Giants organization to experience
a season - Accorsi's last - from the front office, the locker room, the sidelines,
and the tunnel. The result is a remarkable book. The Giants started the season
with high expectations, hoping to ride the talent of players like Eli Manning,
Jeremy Shockey, and Tiki Barber to the Super Bowl, but the team quickly fell apart
due to injuries. | |

Dream in Blue: Life, Death, and the New York Giants A
fan of Jeremy Shockey and Tiki Barber, lukewarm but hopeful on Eli Manning and
positively brutal on coach Tom Coughlin, Roger Director suffers his way from the
Albany training sessions through the promising 6-2 start and the bewildering 2-6
second half to the playoff loss to the Eagles. Someone make a play. Director spends
the 2006 - 2007 season up close and personal with Big Blue, in the locker room
and on the practice field. | |

The Maras, the Giants, and the City of New York: Mr.

can see his name "The Duke" stamped on today's game ball. To see why, and lots
of other great stories, read this book. |

By My Brother's
Side: Tiki and Ronde were each
other's best friends. Together from the start, these twins might not have been
the strongest or the tallest, but they were fast and worked hard at what they
loved. And they loved sports, especially football. Then one day Tiki badly
hurt his knee in a biking accident, and he was sure he'd never be able to play
again. Their mother had always told them, "You are each other's best friends.
Stick together, believe in yourselves, and you can do anything." They kept her
words in their hearts and never gave up. |
