Giants lose to the Cowboys 37-18

"At the start the Giants looked like they could pull this one off. The defense came up big, when they intercepted Dak Prescott on the first play of the game. It was inside the ten yard line, and Aldrick Rosas kicked a field goal to put the Giants up 3-0. The Cowboys tied it up, and the Giants were lucky when their kicker missed on a 54-yard field goal attempt.
The Giants drive continued into the second quarter, and Golden Tate excited the crowd when he made a sensational one handed catch, keeping his feet in bounds, that had the Giants at the Cowboys 1 yard line. It reminded everyone of Odell Beckham Jr. The Giants couldn't get the ball in the last time they were this close, and it was discouraging to see Saquon Barkley lose 2 yards on the next play. Jones took off and scrambled to get that back, before throwing a 1-yard touchdown pass to Cody Latimer. Before you could get too excited, Rosas missed on the extra point.
Still, things were going our way, when on the next drive, after giving up a big 24 yard catch to Amari Cooper, the defense later caused Randall Cobb to fumble after his catch, and recovered the ball. The Giants were making some nice plays on this drive, even with the fun interruption when a black cat ran onto the field. They temporarily halted the game, and even though
the Giants kept moving the ball, they were 'halted' at the Cowboys 7 yard line, and had to settle for
another field goal to put them up 12-3. Things turned around after the two minute warning. The defense had Prescott scrambling to avoid a sack, but he managed to throw a 42 yard touchdown pass. Then with less than a minute left, Jones threw an interception that gave the Cowboys good enough field position to kick a field goal as the half ended. The Giants had blown their nice lead, and now trailed 13-12.
Things were looking up when Cody Latimer returned the opening kickoff to midfield, but the Giants could only pick up one first down, and had to punt. After a three-and-out by the Cowboys, they got the ball right back when Daniel Jones fumbled it away while scrambling for a first down. After the Cowboys scored a field goal, Latimer once again returned the kickoff to midfield. This time, the Giants got close enough to kick a field goal, and it was still a close game going into the fourth quarter
It was disappointing to see the Cowboys score a touchdown on their drive, but the Giants got the crowd excited right away, when Jones threw a short pass to Barkley, and he took it 65 yards to the Cowboys 11 yard line. After an incompletion, Jones next pass to Evan Engram sure looked like pass interference. Pat Shurmur threw the challenge flag, but thigs stood as they were. Can I boo any louder? The Giants ended this drive scoring another field goal to have them trailing 23-18.
The refs helped the Cowboys out again on their next drive, when the defense had them stopped on a third down play, but cornerback Deandre Baker was hit with a pass interference call. They went on to score when the Giants left Amari Cooper wide open for a 45 yard touchdown.
There was still half the quarter left, but the Giants went from their own 21 yard line to their 15, thanks in part to a penalty, and a pass to Barkley that went for minus yardage. Jones fumbled on a sack the next time the Giants had the ball to make the score end up looking worse than it was, though the fans couldn't feel any worse leaving the stadium with the Giants losing to the Cowboys, 37-18."

"Once again, the Giants lose a game they could have won. It was a one point game going into the fourth quarter. The Cowboys scored a touchdown soon after, and the Giants responded in kind with a field goal, their fourth one, and last score in the game. Field goals were something the Giants did almost this entire game. The Cowboys finished up with 4 touchdowns and 3 field goals, the Giants 1 touchdown and 4 field goals.
They got into the habit early on, after being almost gifted a touchdown by Dak Prescott, when safety Antoine Bethea intercepted his pass on the very first play of the game. The Giants took the field needing 8 yards to cross into the endzone, but two Saquon Barkley rushing plays left them 3 yards short. Daniel Jones' pass to Rhett Ellison was incomplete, and Aldrick Rosas kicked a field goal.
At the half the Giants were trailing 13-12, as they made mistakes on both sides of the ball. As a comparison, Prescott had thrown for about twice as much yardage as Jones, and each had 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Ezekiel Elliot had 13 carries for 80 yards, and Barkley didn't look like himself, with 9 carries for only 21 yards. Still it was a close game that could go either way, and it went the Cowboys way.
In the third quarter after the Giants punted, Jones fumbled while scrambling for a first down on the next series, and that led to a Cowboys field goal. The Giants hit them right back with one of their own. The game was still close, but when the Cowboys next scored a touchdown, the Giants could only come up with a field goal. The Cowboys added another touchdown to put them up 30-18, and the game was out of reach the way the Giants were playing.
Jones showed again that he's a rookie with a mixture of good and bad plays, and he fumbled the ball away for a second time right at the end of the game. It was recovered by the Cowboys and returned 63 yards for a touchdown that they didn't need.
Barkley was outrun by Jones, who had 54 yards on 6 carries to Barkley's 28 yards on 14 carries, Though the numbers show Barkley catching 6 passes for 67 yards, one of those as a long 65 yarder. Evan Engram caught 6 of 8 passes for 48 yards, and Golden Tate caught all 6 passes thrown his way for 42 yards. Tate even ran with the ball once for a 16 yard gain. The Giants don't have far to travel for their 'away' game with the Jets, but they do have to find their way into the endzone, like that stray black cat did tonight."
