Game Notes:
"You didn't know what to expect from the Giants or Eagles today. The Giants were coming off a tough unexpected loss to the Vikings, and had plenty on their minds with both owners passing away in such a short time frame. The Eagles played on Monday night and were coming off a last minute loss to Dallas. They had a short week and lots to deal with having lost Donovan McNabb for the season and with the whole Terrell Owens thing. Having said that, both teams played an extremely hard game.
A good example of that is how the Eagles wouldn't give an inch to our running back-bulldozer Brandon Jacobs when the Giants ran him on three straight plays only one yard from their goal line. The Giants did get in, when they went for it on fourth down with a touchdown pass to Amani Toomer.
Brandon Jacobs shouldn't feel too bad. On special teams, he was the one who recovered the blocked punt to put the ball on the Eagles one yard line in the first place. Talking about that, David Tyree is really the 'Tiki Barber' of the special teams unit. He's the one who blocked the punt, and his gameplay was sorely missed these past few weeks he was out. The next game we Giants fans get to see at home is against Dallas in two weeks. We're tied with them for first place and we'd better win this time against Uncle Bill."

Game Notes:
"The Giants made sure to stay with the running game and Tiki Barber, even if they just had success with a nice pass play. That obviously helped Eli Manning out, because even though the Eagles brought good pressure, thanks to the mix, Manning was able to complete 17 of his 26 passes for 218 yards, and 3 touchdowns. That's way much better than he had been doing the past few weeks. Keep it up.
Cornerback Curtis Deloatch had it rough today filling in for Will Peterson, while Will Allen played great. The Giants should lay off both him and Will Peterson when it comes to making interceptions. When these guys do what they do best, which is cover receivers and knock down passes, it works just fine. Leave it alone.
The Giants didn't throw to Jeremy Shockey very much, but when he got his shot, he made it count. In the record books, he goes down this game as catching 1 pass for 1 yard, but it was a touchdown pass that put the Giants up 20-10 in the fourth quarter, and it gave them some much needed breathing space
The Eagles are always a 'tough out' to get, and the Giants needed every break they could get. It helped that Mike McMahon, in his first start in a long time, tried to do just a little too much on his own. He'll be better in his role in a few weeks.
After watching this game today, you can see that even without Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens, it will be no fun to travel to Philadelphia and play them again in 21 days. With the Eagles 0-4 in the NFC East, the Giants will have to focus on Dallas once they return from Seattle next week. In fact, the Giants have to play all three division teams in the next five games, and for more suspense, Eli Manning is up against Kerry Collins for the final game of the season."

Jeff Feagles appeared in his 282nd consecutive game, tying the NFL mark set by former Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall.

Michael Strahan played in his 185th game, putting him ahead of Lawrence Taylor and Joe Morrison for second place on the franchise's career list.
